This is what awaits you in the training programme:
- The training is provided by our partner, MEV Eisenbahnverkehrsgesellschaft, who work with qualified and highly experienced trainers.
- The qualification as a train driver for passenger transport lasts a total of 10 months full-time (39 hours/week) and includes theoretical as well as practical teaching sections.
- The training content is taught using modern simulators as well as e-learning units on an iPad provided.
- In this way, you learn all relevant signals, company rules and safety regulations.
- You complete the retraining with a theoretical and practical examination. Afterwards, you will hold the EU driver's licence and other qualifications in your hand.
These are your tasks after completing your training with us:
- You will operate and control powerful multiple units and bring our passengers safely and punctually to their destination in shift work.
- You also react to disruptions or deviations from regular operations and always focus on customer and service support (e.g. communication with the control centre).

We are looking for:
Ideally, you should have:
- A secondary school leaving certificate (or a comparable recognised qualification including proof of language level B1, B2 desirable).
- You are at least 20 years old.
- Good health and mental condition for the aptitude test.
- No current proceedings for alcohol or drugs in road traffic.
- You are willing to work irregular shifts, including weekends and holidays, and to wear company clothing.
- You have a sense of responsibility, a willingness to learn and a service and customer orientation.
- You can ensure that the costs are covered by a cost unit. The qualification is financed exclusively by the employment agency/job centre (education voucher) or pension insurance/workers' compensation board/BfD. Please clarify your individual funding options.

What is special about this network is that with 27 hydrogen-powered vehicles of the type iLint from the manufacturer Alstom, the world's largest hydrogen fleet will be on the rails.
